This is the old version of Part 1 of a 4-part online course on the Vipassana Meditation Technique + Food Detox guidance.

This 5-day introductory program, designed for beginners, covers the fundamentals of Vipassana: ethical grounding (Sīla), mindful breathing (Anapanasati), and detox practices for the body and mind.

The Food Detox Edition offers guidance on cleansing the body while meditating. The author shares his personal journey from being a meat-eater to adopting a vegan lifestyle, explaining how food choices impact meditation and well-being.

Participants must commit to twice-daily meditation sessions and follow the Five Moral Precepts:

Without this commitment, the course cannot be started.

This requirement mirrors the discipline of a traditional Vipassana retreat, offering an authentic retreat-like experience at home. The commitment to these precepts forms the foundation for cultivating mental clarity, ethical living, and deeper meditation practice.

Journaling: Daily reflection prompts to boost your self-awareness, track your progress, and reflect on how your diet is affecting your transformation.

Daily Practices: Two 15-minute guided meditation sessions each day. We use the “Kaizen” method, which means steady, incremental progress. You’ll start small and gradually increase your meditation time beginning on day 5.

Mandatory Ethical Self-Discipline: Before you even start, you’ll commit to following the Five Moral Precepts (Sīla)—these precepts form the bedrock of your practice and will help you live with integrity.

Self-Commitment: You’re making a commitment to yourself. Stick to your daily meditation, adhere to the ethical guidelines, and dive into the detox practices that will help you reach your full potential.

Challenge Section: This is where you get to level up. You’ll be challenged daily to cut out unhealthy habits—whether that’s social media, caffeine, or sugar. Every small win builds your resilience and self-discipline.

Food Detox: Practical, step-by-step advice for detoxifying your body, inspired by the author’s own journey from meat-eating to a vegan lifestyle. You’ll get tips on making smarter food choices and how the right diet can clear your mind and boost your energy.

This course is ideal for busy individuals, those lacking determination for a 10-day retreat, or alumni wanting to deepen their practice. Experience Vipassana at home, boosting self-awareness, ethical growth, and meditation.

The course was created by the author, who began practicing Vipassana in 2012, trained under teachers S. N. Goenka and Pa Auk Sayadaw in the Theravada tradition.
